Supplemental to Kandinsky post

To Florida Girl in Sydney: Yes, the exhibit was expansive and included work from his early years, including this beauty.


This was the revelation to me: that Kandinsky is more than just squiggly line abstractions. Can you tell I’m a little worked-up about the exhibit? It was perhaps one of the best I’ve seen in years.

Weirdly enough I don't actually like the Kandinsky pic you put up. I'm not sure why though.

I always thought of Kandinsky as a squiggly line guy too. Thanks for the illuminating post. I'll go back for another look.

I can see why you enjoyed the exhibit so much ...this one from his early years is stunning!

Sid: I agree. It's not as interesting as the previous piece I posted. But it give you the idea how wide his range was.

GOTJ: His stuff is definitely worth a closer look. I didn't know! I walk around thinking I know everything there is to know and it turns out I don't know a damn thing!
