NBC's worst nightmere
What if the next Super Bowl features the Tennessee Titans vs. the Carolina Panthers? It’s possible! Two small market, uninteresting teams. It would spell certain doom for NBC as far as ratings are concerned. They could rechristen it the Who Gives a Shit Bowl.

daisy: Oh, I'll watch it. I love the Super Bowl and wouldn't miss it for the world. But there won't be many of us.
Oh well, it happens from time to time. The diehards will watch the wannabe's will not.
My late husband wouldn't have missed a superbowl even if both teams were were Girl Scouts on crutches (which given the pathetic tastes of American tv audiences these days might just be a ratings winner).
The panthers??? REALLY? You think they'll win the playoffs?
E: No, I do not think the Panthers will win, nor do I think the Titans will win. I'm just pointing out that IF they won, it would result in record-low viewership! Nobody would watch except for daisyfae and I. And maybe you.
That's what it's been to me for the last several years. I'm a sucker for college ball, though.
