weep weep weep
My Giants just lost their playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. How could this have happened? It's unthinkable. I have a theory.
After an Eagles touchdown, I saw Donovan McNabb, the Eagles quarterback, point up to the sky with both index fingers and "thank God." I know many Giants fans who were praying for a victory so, obviously, God turned His back on them. It's all God's fault. God is a loser.
Soy un perdedor
I'm a loser baby so why don't you kill me?

could be worse... you could be a bengals fan... congrats on making the playoffs.
We were pulling for them, remember the Cleveburgh motto----wait till next year... The Giants will be there again, they had a great year, vendi, vidi we almost vicied!!
God had nothing to do with it. It's disturbing that people believe an all powerful being fixes sporting events for nothing more than a bit of ego stroking. And more disturbing really if that is the truth.
Hmm. That's a good theory. I have one also, the Eagles played a better game than the Giants.
It was God, but not because of the thank you fingers - it's a little known fact that God used to live outside of Philly. It was just after college and he came into some season tickets...it's also the reason the Browns seem to always have SO much potential but then - just nothing.
Daisy : Thanks for the perspective. I understand that next season the Benglas are going to be coached by Rose Kennedy.
Anon: Thank you for your support. Don’t feel bad about the Browns. At least they’re not the Bengals. Woops. Did I say that?
Annie: People pray, in sincerity, for all sorts of foolish things.
Pop: Don’t torment me with your stupid logic.
Pickles: You’d have thought that God would would pick a place with better weather.
Can you explain to me - an expat Southerner - how Jets/Giants fan bases break down along geographical lines?
actually, i was led to believe God was a fan of jai alai... go figure.
It could be worse. But I'm with you. I wanted the Giants to win too. Now that all my teams are out of the running for the SuperBowl, life has no meaning left for me.
AFM: Generally, people who live in Queens and Long Island are Jets fans and the other four boroughs of New York are Giants fans. New Jersey is a toss-up with the fan base split.
Gnu: If you think about it in terms of popularity, God is obviously a soccer (UK: football) fan.
E: No meaning left in life? Are you kidding? What about maintaining your blog? And reading mine?
