Three lines for your midnight contemplations
You follow desire, and you are not satisfied.
Again you follow desire, and again you are not satisfied.
Again you try, and again you are not satisfied.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Sounds like the story of my life... :-\
i believe some are wired to never know lasting contentment. best to stop looking for it - and enjoy the brief moments presented.

read this right after y'all had posted it (thank you, google reader), so of course i couldn't formulate an answer that made sense, but now, in the light of day, the best i can do is this: gotta comment because vw is:
MADMEN (I KID Y'ALL NOT!) xxoxox
Ponita: It's the thread that runs through us ALL. Everyone is looking outside for happiness. It will only be achieved from looking in.

Jimmy: I had an easy blueprint; study my father and to the opposite.
Savannah: Holy cow! That's a fantastic insight! Seriously! Well done, you.
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.
I don't like those three lines. I like to be satisfied. Generally, I am.
Rob: I've been taught the same lesson over and over. It's finally starting to sink in.
Ellie: You have a very evolved and mature sense of self. It's what I aspire to.
As that great philosopher J. Bastard once said.....
